The ownership structure of the Natus Vincere (NAVI) esports club has changed - the new beneficiary is investor Maksim Krippa. This was unknown for a long time, but in 2022 the information became public. How the deal was concluded and what opportunities it opens for NAVI - read in the article.

NAVI

The ownership transition process, which began in 2018, was completed in 2022, as reported by the NAVI press service. Businessman Maksim Krippa, a well-known investor, officially became the new owner of the team. After the change of ownership, NAVI continues to confirm its high status on the international stage, maintaining popularity among fans and recognition from experts.

Under the previous owner

Under the previous owner, NAVI set high standards in esports, which is still considered a significant achievement. Maksim Krippa plans to continue these successes by offering new strategies to maintain the team's status. In particular, NAVI continues to play a role in social initiatives, including through participation in the United24 project. Maksim Krippa supports the team in maintaining its social activity.

Overall, the change of ownership could be key to NAVI's development. Given the situation in Ukraine, Maksim Krippa will help the company continue to support local communities and contribute to society, which is important for the stability and development of the country.

Maksim Krippa explains why

The process of purchasing the NAVI esports organization began in the fourth quarter of 2018, but information about the change of ownership became widely known only in the second half of 2022. The first to report that Maksim Krippa would become the new owner was the Ukrainian magazine Forbes on September 28, 2022.

NAVI, founded by Oleksandr Kokhanovskyi, initially belonged to a legal entity in the British Virgin Islands. Since 2022, according to the YouControl analytical system, the beneficial owner of NAVI has been Maksim Krippa. Kokhanovskyi noted that for the further development of NAVI, significant capital investments were needed, so he chose a reliable investor as a partner who has authority in the esports community. Maksim Krippa has exactly such an image in the field of esports and business in general.

Experts estimate the value of NAVI at more than 100 million dollars. The official value is not disclosed, but according to experts, NAVI is the second most valuable team in Ukraine, second only to the football club "Shakhtar". Such a high estimate is due to NAVI's international status and the involvement of star players such as Oleksandr 'S1mple' Kostyliev.

Maksim Krippa negotiated the deal and transfer of ownership rights for NAVI for several years. It is known that during this time, namely in 2019 and 2020, the company's revenue reached 9.06 million euros, and the net profit was 8986 euros. The NAVI press service explained that the duration of the process was related to fulfilling certain obligations that the new owner, Maksim Krippa, had to meet.

NAVI's achievements in esports

The NAVI team has set high standards in the world of esports thanks to victories on the international stage. In particular, in 2010, NAVI became the first team in history to win three major Counter-Strike tournaments in one year, including the World Cyber Games, Intel Extreme Masters, and the Electronic Sports World Cup.

In 2011, the team continued its winning streak, winning the title at The International, the most prestigious Dota 2 tournament. This success established NAVI as one of the leading esports organizations in the world.

By 2021, NAVI confirmed its status as a leader in esports by winning the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. By then, Maksim Krippa had already invested in the organization and new projects. In the same year, the team also won the Intel Grand Slam title, demonstrating its ability to dominate at the highest level.

The most significant recent achievement was the victory at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, the first major tournament in the new game Counter-Strike 2, highlighting NAVI's ability to adapt and continue to win in new conditions of the esports industry.

In addition, NAVI and Maksim Krippa are engaged in charity work both globally and locally. In particular, they buy cars and send them to the front. The transfer is carried out with direct communication with the military. The company is also involved in socially significant projects. For example, in 2023, it raised $44,000 to restore the computer class of the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynskyi Lyceum. The building was destroyed as a result of a Russian missile strike.
